First Lutheran Church
Confirmation Class
The Confirmation Class attends Divine Service or Matins every week. They listen to the sermon and produce sermon notes to be turned in. They serve as acolytes or ushers for our congregation.
Right after church, the confirmands begin class downstairs. We recite the Six Chief Parts of the Catechism as a group. We also talk about the sermon for that Sunday and anything we did not understand about the service that morning.
We spend the remainder of the hour talking about the lesson of the Small Catechism appointed for that Sunday. These coincide with the lesson taught for Sunday Bible Study this year.
Confirmands will be confirmed on May 1st at 10 am.
